Hollywood superstar Keanu Reeves will be taking the stage with his band, Dogstar, at the 16th INmusic festival in Zagreb next June. Renowned for his iconic roles as Neo in The Matrix and the titular character in the John Wick franchise, Reeves now gives his Croatian fans the chance to witness his lesser-known talents as a musician.
Dogstar, an alt-rock band formed in the 1990s, had been put on hold since 2002. The group made a triumphant return in May 2023 with their first gig in over 20 years, subsequently announcing the release of their upcoming album, Somewhere between the Power Lines and Palm Trees. The trio comprises Keanu Reeves on bass, Robert Mailhouse on drums and Bret Domrose as lead guitarist. With Reeves, the band gains an extra layer of star power, adding to the festival’s stellar line-up already confirmed.
This exciting announcement follows news of another major Croatian debut, with Hozier set to appear at INmusic. The Grammy-nominated artist gained international acclaim in 2013 with his chart-topping single Take Me to Church, which has since amassed over a billion streams on Spotify. His latest album Unreal Unearth was released earlier in 2023.
Both acts are joining a growing (and already exciting) roster including The National, Viagra Boys and Smashing Pumpkins. Three-day Early Bird tickets for the INmusic festival are currently available here, with single-day tickets to be released in the coming months and made available via the same link.
